Anchored by Lauryn Williams, Team USA put up a blazing time to win its heat in the prelims of the 4x100m relay.
Competing in the 10m platform, diver Brittany Viola wrapped up her first appearance at the Olympics with a 15th-place finish in the semifinals.
T’erea Brown recorded a sixth-place finish in the finals of the 400m hurdles. “Thank you to everyone for all of the love I have received on this journey…we still got some more meets left before I shut it down,” she wrote on twitter.
Congrats to Murielle Ahoure on making the finals of two events at the Olympics. The sprinter placed sixth (22.57) in the 200m dash today.
T’erea Brown, who will run for gold today in the 400m hurdles, has the support of her long-time boyfriend and UM football alum Cory Nelms. Nelms is currently in training camp with the San Francisco 49ers. Read the full story in the Sacramento Bee here.

Murielle Ahoure qualified for her second finals of the Olympics today, this time in the 200m dash with a second-place finish in her heat. She will run for the gold medal tomorrow.
